This workshop introduced researchers to the data donation method and Data Download Packages (DDPs). It focused on how online behaviour is tracked across platforms and the key considerations for ethical data collection. Participants also took part in a hands-on activity to explore what DDPs can offer for research, Details
I visited the Weizenbaum Institute as part of a European tour introducing the Australian Internet Observatory (AIO). I presented the latest developments in the AIO, the methods we currently use to collect data, and our best practices. The visit also explored future collaboration on data donation methods and data ontology.

Completed the third and final milestone, presenting my thesis “Modelling Heterogeneous Time Series with Streaming Sporadic Data” to a panel of four committee members.
I attended the 2024 DMRC and ADM+S Summer School. The program brought together over 150 delegates and presenters, with sessions on topics such as dewesternising research, researching informal media industries, creative approaches to research translation, and using OpenAI to classify, annotate and process data.
Presented the latest developments in my work on time series analysis and deep learning models, and attended the Math and Computing Research Discovery Days.
Collaborated with an international team of students and academic staff on a real-world project, “Deeper understanding of Eddies using Machine Learning”.
Presented my PhD research and attended the conference.
